Jerry- God revealed on a mountain top in the Smokies
My name is Jerry. God has given me more than 40 years on his earth so far. I am married to a wonderful woman that I do not deserve, but am thankful for. I have a son that I love very much and who has taught me more than I could ever teach him. I have a daughter that is a miracle and she lights up my life. I enjoy serving the Lord, playing with the kids, hanging out with the wife and our extended families, anything chocolate, Tennessee Volunteer football, playing basketball, and writing music.

As far back as I can remember I have had a driving need to find the truth, to find God. One breezy summer night on a mountainside deep in the Smokies, God chose to reveal himself to me. On that evening, my eyes were opened to the glory of God and his Love.

Those few brief moments in time provide the foundation of my life and my passion. I wonder why I was chosen to receive this glimpse of God’s glory, when others around me seemingly were not. I have learned to trust God completely, especially when I don’t understand the reasons for why events happen as they do.

The most important, yet difficult, thing that I have learned is to follow God’s will and trust in his promises. Having Christ in my heart has not exempted me from suffering and temptations, but it allows me to see beyond these things and overcome.

Living without Jesus Christ, I learned what a truly miserable excuse for a human being I am capable of being. With Jesus Christ in my heart, I sometimes get the chance to soar on the wind with eagles. I can let go of fears that bind me down, then I am free to follow his vision for my life.

For example, there are many close relatives and close friends that I had never opened up to and told them how important they are to me and how much I love them. I was afraid of rejection, I was afraid I would push them away and I would lose them, I was afraid they would think I was being phony, I was afraid…period. With faith in Jesus, I was able to take the leap and tell them. And now I have relationships better than I could have even dreamed.

Jesus also tells us to love even the people that hate us, and to love people that we have never met before. That is one reason why I took the time to write this. Even if you and I have never met, it is important to me that you know that I love you. I love you because Jesus loves you, and Jesus is in me.

I thank God for giving me this opportunity to testify to His Love for you and me.

Praise God!
