Juan Q.- Bible in trash can transformed my life!
My name is Juan. I grew up as a nominal catholic but never went to church. I was thinking, God is far away and so busy for me.
I am the oldest of five children. One day, I was studying for my final test in biochemistry, very very boring! Meanwhile, one of my sisters, her name is Ileanna, (she was 10 years old at that time) was playing outside of our home and she saw some books in a trashcan. So she picked them up and brought them home. Among these books was a Bible. It was an old Bible, an old version and in bad shape. My mother fixed it and put it in my desk.
I got tired of studying, so I took a break. I needed to read something diferent so I took the black book, the Bible. I did not how to start to read it so, I just opened at any page. It was in Matthew 7:21 “Not every one who says to me Lord, Lord Shall enter in the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven”. When I read that I say “Man! This book is alive and God is speaking to me!” I closed the Bible. I felt like a sinner for the first time in my life. I felt unclean. I cried and repented to God and I asked for forgivness and He forgave me! The next day I was a new person, full of joy, full of love, full of peace. I was 18 years old when I give my life to Christ. He made all things new for me. Juan
