Joy- No need for fear, because I'm in God's hands!
I’m Joy and was raised in a methodist household. I have had many things happen in my life but the testimony that I want to share is an experience that happened to me in Sept and Oct 2002. I began to have serious pain in my abdomen. Several trips to the doctor and numerous tests resulted in an almost emergency hysterectomy. They thought I had a tumor that was growing. Many people asked me if I was scared when I was going to have the surgery and the honest answer was NO, I’m in God’s hands. I know that he still has some work that I need to do but if he doesn’t then I will go and join my parents and other friends and family in heaven. I went into surgery with no fear.
A close cousin of mine had to have similar surgery 2 weeks later. We were talking and she was telling me how scared she was and I reminded her of her faith and that she didn’t need to be scared, she’s in God’s hands too. She called me when she got home from surgery and thanked me for the calm. It’s so comforting to know that we are in God’s hands every day of our lives.
