Scott B.- Deputy Sheriff's life changed by God
My name is Scott. I am 36 years old. I am a Deputy Sheriff and my wife and I have two daughters. I was raised Methodist, my Dad was a Methodist pastor.
When I was in the 8th grade I accepted the Lord as my Savior. Through high school I attended church. I began playing softball, though, and started drinking everyday as a comfort. At age 22 I met my beautiful, wonderful wife Angie, moved to Atlanta, and attended Marietta Alliance Church.
We had a daughter, Hailey. God began softening my heart toward hearing Him and doing His will. We lived three years in Atlanta. We moved to Knoxville, TN and attended Cornerstone Church.
God changed my life, the people in the church were great, and we built some wonderful relationships. I started to get closer to God knowing you can’t run from him, because He’s always looking out for you. Two years later we had another daughter, Ketney. We stayed six years in Knoxville and I felt God calling us to Johnson City, TN. It was a tough decision because we had built some wonderful relationships in church.
We found out about a church in Johnson City and attended, fell in love with the church and the people. We have been there for five years and are on the leadership team. We are excited about what God is doing through us and in us to be a light in darkness.
