Scott M.- Saved from suicide, owes everything to Jesus
My name is Scott McCurdy. I am 51 years old and was born in Bryan, TX. I have been married for 29 years and have a son that today just graduated from college and is 22, and I have a precious daughter who is a sophomore in college and is 19. We live in Orlando, Fl and I own a reconstruction business. I love to fish and cook.
I met Jesus about 14 years ago. I had just filed for bankruptcy, I was an alcoholic, I was addicted to cocaine and I was an adulterer. I was contemplating suicide when Jesus came to visit me. I challenged Him when he asked me to accept Him, so I asked him to take away the drugs and adultery from my life.
I was delivered from those two things immediately and the last fourteen years my life, my marriage and my family and my new business has been blessed so much more than I deserve. I owe who I am, what I am and what I am to become to Jesus. If He had not called on me that night, I am quite sure I would not be writing this.
I started writing a daily devotion over the Internet for my son when he left for college. I now send that out to over 13,000 college students, high schoolers, middle school students and adults. I truly am more blessed than I deserve.
