Texterity will exhibit at Seybold Seminars Boston 2001, September 24-28, 2001, at the Moscone Center. We are located in the Microsoft Reader Booth #3905.

The following Seybold Seminar Sessions include presentations by Texterity and our customers, covering the latest in electronic publishing, XML and E-Book technologies:

  • Martin Hensel of Texterity will present on TextCafe Logistics at Seven Minutes with a PDF Developer. This session is always one of the highlights of PDF Day, with key developers presenting new products or significant upgrades.
  • Seybold Cross-Media Publishing Conference: Implementing Cross-Media Publishing: Three Case Studies, Monday, Sept. 24, 10:45am - 12:00pm. Emerging standards such as SMIL and WAP enable delivery of rich media across multiple channels. Duratran displays will soon stream digital video instead of holding static images. Video-on-demand has arrived and it sounds just like pay-per-view, only for the PC. Texterity will share the "TextCafe Logistics" workflow that takes content from print to the Web, databases, and E-Book form. We also hear about realistic expectations versus hype, and learn about technologies that make cross-media workflows work. Cimarron Buser will present, and the session will be hosted by Paul Hilts of Publishers Weekly.
  • E-Books and E-Content Day: Overview from the Front Lines, Thursday, September 27, 9:00am - 10:30am. Hot Technology Day kicks off with a panel of insiders, including Cimarron Buser, sharing their views from the front lines of the e-book market, offering their assessments of the issues the industry faces in the year ahead and debating the strategies businesses should take to achieve success. What are the results of e-book trials so far, and what adjustments might you need to make to your strategy as a result? This discussion sets the stage for the rest of the day, when we'll drill down into specific technologies and markets.
  • E-Books and E-Content Day: E-Books in Context, Thursday, September 27, 2:30pm - 4:00pm. This session examines the ways in which electronic books have to be adapted to different types of content for different audiences and purposes. Publishers representing professional, technical, trade and textbook markets present case studies that share what they've learned in creating electronic products for different markets. Jennifer Gold of Rough Guides will present.
