NEW PRODUCT MARKETING MANAGER FOR THE GPS INSTRUMENTATION LINE
Ron Holm has just accepted a position as Product Marketing Manager for the GPS Instrumentation (GPSI) Line with the TT&M division. Ron will split his time between the San Jose office and the Santa Rosa office. As the Product Marketing Manager, Ron is the product champion for the GPS & Time Code Instrumentation as well as the Time and Frequency Distribution lines. "Along with the overall product line management duties, I work closely with all departments to facilitate product decisions, marketing strategies and new product introductions," says Ron. "I also lead the GPSI business segment team." A business segment team is usually made up of two people from engineering and two from sales and marketing and is responsible for the development and execution of the GPSI business plan. Ron also works closely with the Regional Sales Engineers and external sales representatives, answering questions, and confirming product functions and performance per customer requirements. "Symmetricom is focused on meeting and exceeding customer expectations. Ironically, marketing and product documentation oftentimes set customer expectations so vigilance must be maintained to insure the products are accurately represented." Ron came to Symmetricom from the Datum Trusted Time Division where he was Director of Technical Sales. He also managed the original technical team that developed the Trusted Time products. He came to work for Datum in 1990 in the company's Bancomm division where he worked as an engineer and manager.
