This quarter's focus: spotlight on strategic partners
At Symantec, we believe that an important element of corporate responsibility is contributing to the resolution of important social issues, especially those challenges directly related to our work as a technology company helping to secure and manage information. Therefore, our philanthropic giving focuses on four areas that are of strategic importance to the company:

  • Science, technology, engineering, and math education; as well as equal access to education
  • Diversity in engineering
  • Online safety
  • Environmental responsibility

By supporting the education and professional development of diverse students and technical professionals, we help to ensure that we can continue to hire a talented workforce that represents the diversity of our global business. Similarly, our online safety and environmental efforts reflect our commitment to addressing the social issues related to our business and builds trust among our stakeholders.

We support our nonprofit partners through not only monetary donations, but also technical expertise and resources that further the organizations’ missions. As part of that strategy, this edition of our CR Snapshot spotlights four of our nonprofit partners: The Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology, Science Buddies, One Economy, and the Internet Keep Safe Coalition (iKeepSafe).
