While the media is zeroing in on the battle heating up between McCain and Obama, our Victory ’08 campaign focus is much broader.
Volunteering through SVGOP is a one-stop campaign shop to help elect Republicans from the top of the ticket to the bottom….from president of the US to members of our local school boards.
But wait…there’s more. So far, twelve state-wide propositions have also qualified for the November ballot. Victory ’08 is about a lot more than who will be the next Commander in Chief!

The California Republican Party will be campaigning in every part of California. Dozens of Victory 2008 offices have opened across the state in the last few weeks with more to open soon. Here in Silicon Valley, the SVGOP office at 522 North Monroe in San Jose, right behind Valley Fair, is a designated Victory center.
The kick-off event was on July 11
th and San Jose City Councilman Pete Constant welcomed guests and rallied support for upcoming volunteer outreach activities. Activities begin now with voter registration, phone banks and writing letters to the editor.
Check the events calendar for upcoming opportunities.

The one-stop-campaign-shop approach will help focus volunteer efforts where they can make the greatest impact. There are several races in Santa Clara County, including San Jose City Council District 8 (Pat Waite) and US Congressional District 11 (Dean Andal) where turning out every possible Republican vote will make the difference. Literally, a handful of votes per precinct will make the difference between victory and defeat!
Organizing the Get-Out-The-Vote outreach falls to our 25 GOP City-Team Leaders. There is one leader for each city in Santa Clara County and for each of the 10 city council districts in San Jose. If you are willing to step up and be a city team leader, please call SVGOP Republican Headquarters at 408-246-6600.
Our local Victory ’08 effort is coordinated with CRP’s efforts by Nathan Conrad, the Victory 2008 Deputy Regional Political Director for the Bay Area. Nathan is no stranger to working as a Republican in a heavily liberal area. Nathan will be working with SVGOP on recruiting volunteers and streamlining outreach activities for November.
