We are seeing a new trend developing with our Lexus customers. In the past, most of our Lexus customers traded out of their Lexus into a new Lexus every three years on average. Now, more of our Lexus customers are keeping their current Lexus longer than the prior 3-year cycle. After all, in 3, 4, 5, or even 6 years, our customer’s current Lexus is still a great vehicle!
One thing to consider is that Lexus provides its customers peace of mind with the Lexus Factory Warranty for 4 years/50,000 miles (whichever comes first) and a Power Train Warranty for 6 years/70,000 miles (whichever comes first). Stevinson Lexus has Lexus Extra Care Platinum Coverage available for purchase that will provide you with that new car peace of mind for the term of ownership up to a total of 8 years/125,000 miles (whichever comes first) . The Lexus Extra Care Platinum Coverage has no deductible and covers 100% of all parts and labor in the event of a mechanical failure. The Platinum Coverage even provides you with unlimited towing to the nearest Lexus facility, travel protection when you are more than 150 miles from home, and substitute transportation.
The Lexus Extra Care Platinum Coverage must be purchased before the expiration of the Lexus Factory Warranty of 4 years/50,000 miles to qualify for new Lexus comprehensive coverage. If your vehicle is outside of the 4year/50,000 miles Lexus Factory Warranty and the odometer does not exceed 100,000 miles, you may still be able to purchase Platinum coverage but at a higher fee. Lexus even provides a purchase option of 0% for up to 18 months.
You will be solicited by phone and mail by aftermarket companies that access registrations at the Department of Motor Vehicle, which is public record. These companies randomly contact vehicle owners warning them that their Factory Warranty is about to expire. The cost of these random solicitations might be desirable. However, you need to ask yourself these questions. Where is the service contract honored? Will the mechanic know how to properly fix the mechanical failure? Will the service facility utilize used parts? Will I be left holding a useless piece of paper and a broken Lexus? Will I be stuck with an unreimbursed repair?

You will have the confidence in knowing that skilled factory-trained service technicians using the latest diagnostic tools and Genuine Lexus parts are repairing your Lexus.
The Lexus Extra Care Platinum Coverage is risk free. You only pay for the time and miles that you use. The Lexus Extra Care Platinum Coverage is transferable if you ever sell your Lexus, increasing the value of your Lexus to a private party. You can even receive a refund of the unused portion of the coverage if you trade in your Lexus.
