You may have seen or heard stories in the news recently regarding recalls on certain Lexus and Toyota vehicles for unintended acceleration. Lexus has investigated isolated incidents of unintended acceleration, and has found this condition may occur if an incompatible or unsecured floor mat interferes with the operation of the gas pedal on certain 2007-2010 Lexus ES350 models.

Toyota Announces Recall on 2010 Lexus HS and 2010 Prius
Updated Statement from Toyota
TORRANCE, Calif., February 8, 2010 – Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc, today announced it will conduct a voluntary safety recall on approximately 133,000 2010 Model Year Prius vehicles and 14,500 Lexus Division 2010 HS 250h vehicles to update software in the vehicle’s anti-lock brake system (ABS). No other Toyota, Lexus, or Scion vehicles are involved in this recall.
