What's New:
e-PressRelease Service
No need to worry anymore that the recipients of your direct mail effort are dumping your announcements unread into the “circular file”. iMakeNews, is proud to announce the iMakeNews e-PressRelease, a service for companies seeking an alternative to traditional postal mail for getting the word out to the press and their customers about a new product, event, achievement or special promotion.
The iMakeNews e-PressRelease service was developed in response to a growing interest in e-mail as a marketing tool for companies needing to communicate with customers and press outlets on a regular basis. A Wall Street Journal article recently reported that “A growing number of people don’t want to open their mail anymore,” and that “Electronic mail is looking increasingly attractive.” [1] Forrester Research, a leading market researcher on e-commerce, cited an on-line survey that revealed 25 percent of consumers are not opening direct mail in light of recent events and recommended that marketers should consider developing e-mail marketing programs. Using iMakeNews’specialized technology, the iMakeNews e-PressRelease service enables a company to:
- Quickly develop an individualized template that incorporates the company’s look, style and contact information using rich HTML graphics. A Press Release can include photos, screen shots of a product’s new features, attachments, and links to websites that provide more information.
- Insert a company PressRelease into the template and immediately distribute as a richly formatted HTML e-mail to a customer e-mail list.
- Receive reports that reveal which links attract the customer’s attention, thus providing an opportunity for instant follow-up.
“The iMakeNews e-PressRelease service gets newsworthy information about my clients into the hands of the press without anyone having to worry about ‘opening an envelope,’” said Allison Clark, president of Ink Tank PR. “By using iMakeNews’ service, not only do I get the information out quickly and in a unique format, but I can see which announcements the editors and reporters open to read and what specifically interests them. This gives me the chance to provide them with similar items of interest the next time."
“With postal rates going up again next year, companies are looking hard at electronic distribution for everything from simple postcard-type announcements about a new service or product, to multi-directional marketing campaigns,” noted Suzanne Zeller, CEO of iMakeNews. “The iMakeNews e-PressRelease service is the most cost-effective distribution method available today for a company in need of a robust, easy to use solution that will provide detailed feedback about the recipient’s reaction.”
