Finding jobs - your section for supporting Urban Aboriginal Youth
by Employment Centres, businesses and organizations

Often Urban Aboriginal Youth in Greater Vancouver come to the "big city" expecting to find work right away. Some will make their way to employment organizations like A.C.C.E.S.S. (Aboriginal Career Counseling Employment Services Society) or go downtown to the F.N.E.S ( First Nations Employment Society). Others will look in the paper, or search the net.

A key element of this project includes helping youth find current, relevant job postings. Current and relevant. There are 2 ways this project will provide this information for our youth.

1. This e-zine goes out based on people signing up or sending it to others... it is "permission-based". That means, nobody gets it who doesn't want it! You will have a captive target market for any new announcements.

2. When the website at www.redwaybc.ca launches on March 31st, 2004 visitors to the site will have the option of becoming a free member, and they can choose to get notifications by e-mail of any new job postings.
Effective immediately, we will be gathering job postings, new initatives or calls for volunteers to post in this section of this e-zine. As we develop our Youth Advisory Council (YAC) members, some members will be assigned to updating, deleting and posting jobs relevant to Urban Aboriginal Youth. For now, that means FREE job postings going out to our confidential subscription list!

JUST CLICK on the Letters box at the top right to drop us a line about your employment opportunties!

We are pleased to offer this service for free, depending on how much time (and resources) we have to edit and upload your postings. Once our RedWAY project team launches our site in March of 2004, you or your company can target youth DIRECTLY by e-mail. Naturally we'll be looking for potential sponsors as of March, but for now everyone who sends in a posting will get it listed on this page FOR FREE.

So consider the value to you and your organization in being able to post HERE to attract the fastest growing segment of the population of Canada...Aboriginal Youth.
