ATTENTION ALL ABORIGINAL YOUTH ARTISTS  
!!LOGO CONTEST!!
The First Nations Employment Society (FNES) is proud to announce the newly formed RedWAY (Website for Aboriginal Youth) Project!
It is jointly funded by Human Resources Development Canada (HRDC), Heritage Canada, Health Canada, and Western Economic Diversification

Our RedWAY BC Project will combine information on all available resources for Urban Aboriginal Youth living in or coming to the Greater Vancouver area.  Some hot topics we’ll be covering are: employment, education, housing and anything else that youth feel should be included.  Check out our homepage for more Project details: www.redwaybc.ca.
 
Do you enjoy designing logos? Do you have a piece of work already made that you feel represents the Urban Aboriginal Youth?

Deadline: 4pm Friday, January 23rd, 2004
The top 3 logo submissions will be shown in our next e-zine going out on January 27th and RedW.A.Y. members can register their votes directly on our e-zine newsletter.  (Hmmm, not yet a member? log on and sign in to become a RedWAY member and get logo voting privileges!  Visit our website at www.redwaybc.ca and sign up for our free monthly e-zine)
 
Winner will be contacted on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2004 and will receive a cash prize of $150.00 - right in time for Valentine's Day!
 
Please format to a .JPEG file - see the following sheet for more info. If you do not have a scanner or access to one, we will be able to have your work scanned to submit. Feel free to contact us about this option.

Here are our specifications:
As the winning logo will be both printed and electronically posted, (put on our website at www.redwaybc.ca), please try to meet these specifications:
 
•         Electronic submissions are encouraged.
•         Electronic submissions can be in the form of encapsulated postscript (EPS), TIFF, high-quality JPG (100+ ppi, 300x300 pixels minimum size) or vector Adobe Illustrator files.
•         A black and white version of the logo in addition to a full colour version if you are providing hard-copy (printed) submissions.
•         Each submitted logo design should be sized to maximally fit within a five inch square and should be no smaller than a two inch square.
•          All designers should also include their complete contact information, including address, phone number, fax number and e-mail address.
•         Contact information should not be included in the logo file itself.
•         Two logo submissions will be accepted per artist
•         All entries must be received at FNES by 4:00pm on Friday, January 23rd, 2004
•         The top three logo submissions will be shown in our next e-zine going out on January 27th.  RedW.A.Y. members can register their votes directly on our e-zine newsletter that week to help us choose the winning logo design. Visit our website at
