Janine Island uses her passion for learning to stay on top of the dynamic, lightening-speed world of web design. Janine and her experienced staff combine over 25 years in Web design, programming, and development, with graphic design, desktop publishing, and multimedia digital video editing. As a First Nations youth-driven business, ID+ is focused on new web media technologies, like Flash, action scripting, video streaming and VRML, as well as database driven applications like XML, ASP, PHP, and Java Script.
What does all that jargon mean? It means Janine has extensive design and graphics experience - check out some of her latest work on the web by going to their website at www.idplus.ca.
Her business partner at ID+ is another Aboriginal web designer, graphic artist and multimedia guru - Don Owen. Don's latest projects include developing the Spa' Naxnox New Media Studies Program at United Native Nations.
Indigenous Dynamics Plus - ID+ currently manages a large portfolio of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal public and private sector websites. They will be creating an interactive, user friendly site with easy to use search tools and categories to find what you're looking for on the Internet.
Janine and her team are developing a way that members can join our database for free, then have the option to identify topics they’re looking for. The next time they check the site...voila!...if a new record release party, conference notice or Pow Wow event has been entered they'll know!
ID+ will also enable members to sign up for this FREE monthly newsleter - an electronic magazine or e-zine. Our Youth Advisory Council members will be providing future articles, success stories, pictures of youth, announcements, and input from community stakeholders.
