Vehicle Profile: The 2012 Chrysler 300C
“C” luxury.

The new face of luxury wears the biggest smile. Behind its iconic grille and smack dab in the sweet spot of the Chrysler flagship’s lineup, the 2012 300C delivers a bold dose of world-class performance and refinement at an exceedingly reasonable price.

Modern and curvaceous, the reinvigorated design of the newest 300C is refined and beautiful while still maintaining the imposing, aggressive edge that made the last iteration so appealing to luxury buyers. Flanking the sophisticated, signature chrome grille, available high-intensity Bi-Xenon headlamps are innovative parts of the brand’s pivoting and automatic-leveling Adaptive Forward Lighting system. Past the raked-back windshield, an available dual-pane sunroof spans nearly three-quarters of the sedan’s top while an integrated rear spoiler and unmistakable tall LED taillights form a classic backend.

Beneath the laminated windshield, full-length acoustic underbody closeouts and fiber acoustic wheel liners, the 300C cabin envelopes passengers in a new level of quiet premium luxury. Meticulously crafted with soft-touch materials and attractive finishes, the redesigned interior is simultaneously dramatic and comforting. Note the power-adjustable pedals, the heated and ventilated leather-trimmed bucket seats, the heated rear seats and the heated steering wheel; even the front console cupholders are heated and cooled. There is no shortage of elegant refinement within the newest 300C.

Nor is there a shortage of innovation. This year’s model features unheralded premium amenities like rain-sensing windshield wipers and Keyless Enter ’n Go technology with a push button ignition, alongside the available 8.4-inch interactive Uconnect Touch system, which blends navigation, Bluetooth® communication, web access and audio voice control into one intuitive system. The 2012 300C also gets the optional harman/kardon® Logic7® Surround-Sound system, along with 19 high-performance speakers and unparalleled audio clarity. For safety, the 300C can be outfitted with the available Blind Spot Monitoring System, as well as the ParkSense® Rear Park Assist system to accompany its front, thorax side, knee and side-curtain airbags.

Chrysler is also poised to introduce the all-new 2012 Chrysler 300C Executive Series, a special package that will integrate a number of the most popular 300C’s features, as well as several exclusives including platinum chrome exterior accents and Mochachino or Black Poltrona Frau® “Foligno” leather appointments. With an eye toward offering its most luxurious flagship model to date, Chrysler special models will deliver premium, European-style luxury without compromising the impressive value the 300 has always exhibited.

The Chrysler emphasis on refinement doesn’t stop at the steering wheel. Past the smooth-shifting five-speed automatic transmission (with clutchless AutoStick® functionality) is the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine, which uses dual variable valve timing to make 363 hp and 394 lb/ft of torque. Fuel Saver technology allows the V8 to seamlessly shift from eight cylinders to four to conserve fuel, meaning the powerful 300C can very easily become the impressively efficient 300C, to the tune of up to 31 highway mpg. The 300C carries a multi-link suspension system, ensuring exceptional handling and ride comfort, as well as an optional automatic All-Wheel Drive system – with an automatic transfer case, it’s the most advanced in its class. Standard systems like Electronic Stability Control, Hill-Start Assist and advanced braking features give the newest 300C confident, superior handling in any condition.

Built with world-class luxury, style and performance, the 2012 Chrysler 300C was designed to outclass the world when it comes to value. Despite a bevy of standard and available premium amenities, the 300C carries a starting MSRP of just $38,170.
