Tracey Kelly - Carnival Cruise Lines

Tracey Kelly became Carnival Cruise Lines' director of sales, southern region,  in 1993 after working for sister company Holland America, where he managed telemarketing and sales service.
He had previously worked for Princess Tours, establishing the first organized tour program in China as well as serving as tour director in the Canadian Rockies.  In 1992 he became the VP Sales for the Southern region and manages sales and marketing efforts in 9 states.

A resident of Birmingham, Alabama, Tracey has bachelor's degrees in psychology and marketing from the University of Washington.

Although Carnival Cruise Lines got off to a rocky start with its first ship running aground on its maiden voyage in 1972, things have been much better since and the company is now "the most popular cruise line in the world"!  With 18 ships in the fleet and four more scheduled for delivery before 2005, they carry approximately 3 million passengers annually and employ about 23,000 employees shoreside and shipboard.  Forty percent of guests are between the age of 35 and 55, with the rest evenly split between those under 35, and those over 55.  In order to keep its product fresh and exciting, Carnival offers activities and entertainment for guests of all ages.  "Camp Carnival" is one of its top-rated children's programs, plus the Line offers state-of-the-art health and fitness centers, a comprehensive golf program, internet cafes, and a wedding program.  Carnival provides a wide range of dining options, from upscale supper clubs and formal restaurants to poolside eateries, 24 hour pizzerias, ice cream and room service.
