
Jeffrey W. Hayzlett was
recently elected President of the Board of Directors of Sales and Marketing
Executives International, Inc. Hayzlett will be officially installed as
President at the organization’s 67th Annual Sales and Marketing Leadership
Conference in Vancouver, B.C., Canada.
Hayzlettwill serve as President for the
organization and is responsible for the organization’s affiliate leadership
development and will provide leadership for the professional association’s
program initiatives both domestically and abroad. An SMEI member for 16 years,
Hayzlett works closely with the association’s volunteer leadership,
professional staff and the organization’s strategic partners.
Hayzlett is the President and CEO of the
Hayzlett and Associates, Inc., a business development and Public Relations firm
specializing in the graphic arts, technology and communications industry.
Hayzlett is also the co-founder and former
President and Executive Vice President for Business Development, Sales and
Marketing for the San Bruno, Ca., based Webprint; a business-to-business
e-commerce infrastructure provider for the on-demand printing industry. Prior
to this he served as Executive Vice President for Business Development and
Sales & Marketing for Colorbus, Inc., responsible for all sales revenue
domestic and global.
A former member of the board of directors for
the National Association of Quick Printers (now PrintImage International),
Hayzlett was awarded the NAQP’s Industry Award of Distinction for his
dedication and leadership to the industry. He also founded and chaired the
Quick Printing Industry Public Affairs Council made up of the NAQP and the
leading print for pay franchises. He also chaired the Quick Printing Industry
Political Action Committee and Political Education Fund.
Hayzlett has been a featured speaker at major
conferences and events in the United States, Japan, Australia, France, Germany,
and the United Kingdom. Hayzlett has
authored numerous studies, articles, and issue papers concerning the future of the
printing and copying industry. From
1989 –1992, he owned two quick print and copy shops listed among the top
producers in the world. Hayzlett also served on the advisory boards for both
Quick
Printing and
On Demand magazines.
He is a former Staff Director for members of the
United States Senate and House and has served as Policy Director for
initiatives in various campaigns.
He is a member of the
International Business Development Forum, the National Speakers Association and
serves on the Center for Western Studies National Advisory Board and is a
former recipient of the United States Small Business Administration, Young
Entrepreneur of the Year award.
