If I didn’t see some blue sky today (Sun.), I was fairly sure I would have to leave the state of Colorado, permanently. Colorado has been under siege for almost 3 days in what I would describe as a blizzard of wet leaving behind a mere 52 inches of snow in parts of the front range. The storm had been widely forecast, but it still raised our blood pressure a bit, even catching us by surprise at its strength and speed. This morning, before the snow even stopped, I could hear the Woodpeckers making their 6:00 rounds on the tin chimney pipes of surrounding houses, announcing spring again. By Wednesday, the inevitability of the season will put us back in flip flops and shorts leaving us wondering what just happened. As I sit down to write this week’s update, I see a similar pattern unfolding between the financial markets and spring in the Rockies.
