I guess if I’m honest with myself, I’ve been staring at this reality now for over three years. In the midst of cheerful holiday conversation with a bunch of guys who were mostly professionals in non-financial fields, I learned that everyone had become a trader and self proclaimed Uber risk manager with their own investments. That clear consensus is cold comfort indeed for my inner contrarian which is now screaming “gone are the days of trading, welcome to the world of investing”.
