Normally I hate to travel during the holidays. Hate really is not a strong enough word when you have two boys, 7 and 4 in tow with all their “gear”. Words like dread come to mind. But this year I loved the experience. We bought cheap tickets to the east coast, sat in a half full (or half empty) plane and even enjoyed pick up and drop off service at the airport terminal with our own rental car from el cheapo Budget rentacar. No extra cost, no questions, they were just sitting around and had nothing better to do. What a delightful experience and a true silver lining to the economic pain all around us. Speaking of love and hate, I want to spend this update talking about those emotions in relation to the markets and our flagship All Season strategy. This is an opportunity to learn and help us shape our investment philosophies so let’s take it.
