I’m sure you’ve seen—or have at least heard of—Guy Fieri’s hit Food Network show “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives,” on which Fieri tours the United States and stops in to chat with the owners of certain cult-status snack shacks about how they make the finger-lickin’-good eats that have earned them loyal local and tourist customers alike. Unfortunately for us Canadians, though, Fieri has yet to venture across the border. Until he does, we’d like to suggest a few one-of-a-kind eateries here in Ontario where the food and atmosphere are well worth the effort it takes to get there. Because, whether the restaurant is your final destination or merely a pit stop along the way, what’s more fun than a family road trip?
