Because libraries serve as vital institutions to communities all over the world, SirsiDynix strives to raise the profiles of its customers. One way we do so is to produce a wall calendar displaying selected SirsiDynix libraries. These calendars are displayed in libraries around the globe, publicizing the dedicated work you do for your users.
SirsiDynix is now seeking images for its 2007 calendar. All customers can participate by sending in a special image or two of your library for consideration. Past selections have included nighttime exterior shots with dramatic lighting, regal staircases, impressive domes and arches, creative treatment of outdoor sitting areas, and striking interior shots awash with sunlight. From contemporary and glass, to quaint and snow-covered - each library has its own charm.
Below is important information for those who submit images for consideration:
-
Photos must be of high-resolution, professional quality
-
Please provide a 50-word or less description of your photo. Include the institution's name, the building's name (if different from the institution), city, state/province, country, and any credits for the photo.
-
Photos may be in the following formats:
- 8 x 10 glossy print
- CD with photo file at 300 dpi resolution saved in a TIFF or JPG format
- Emailed, high-resolution JPG file not to exceed three megabytes
-
Libraries selected for the calendar will be asked to grant SirsiDynix full use of the image and need to agree not to hold SirsiDynix responsible for any charges incurred by its publication.
PLEASE NOTE that lower-resolution images typically used on Web sites lack the necessary quality for printing.
Photographs must arrive at SirsiDynix by September 29, 2006. Unfortunately, due to the volume of submissions, we cannot return the images.
If mailing a glossy photo or CD, send your library's photographs and descriptions to the attention of:
