SIRSI CONSULTING: API & iBistro/iLink Customization Workshop Dates Announced for 2005
API: Unicorn Application Programming Interface (API) training is a four and a half-day workshop providing access to the core components of the Unicorn system. This training gives you one more tool to use in quickly responding to the needs of your staff and patrons. API skills can be used to increase efficiency by integrating Unicorn with other software in your organization; minimize staff data entry time with increased global editing capabilities; manage new branch openings or temporary branch closure, collection mergers or removal; as well as write custom reports and automate processes for smoother departmental operations.
The purchase of an API Annual Subscription includes a seat in an API class each year so multiple staff can be trained or return for re-training; online access to API electronic documentation; up to four hours of API consulting each year; and a subscription to Web forums and discussion lists. A workshop-only option exists for sites that do not need assistance beyond the initial workshop.
API Training Workshops are scheduled for:
May 2-6 (North Country Library System, Watertown, NY)
May 16 – 20 (Sirsi Huntsville)
July 18 – 22 (Sirsi Huntsville)
December 5-9 (Sirsi Huntsville)
iBistro/iLink: As a unique solution for online information seekers, the iBistro and iLink e-Library solutions already excite your users. Each attendee will receive a copy of HomeSite (Macromedia) Web editing software, and a comprehensive workshop workbook.
