LED Flashlight
First responders and warfighters need a rugged light source for conducting operations at night or in indoor environments. The 7060 LED is a rugged flashlight built around a light emitting diode. The flashlight can shine a high-intensity 130-lumen beam for up to 90 minutes. Power is provided by a lightweight lithium ion rechargeable battery. Weighing 10 ounces, the 7060 LED features a three-way switch that allows users to select lighting modes quickly. For more information, visit www.pelican7060.com.

Digital Video Infrastructure Platform

High-definition broadcast and image-processing systems require a flexible support equipment. The Digital Video Infrastructure Platform (DVIP) features an integrated coder that allows software engineers to target field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) without needing detailed knowledge about programming such devices. The smallest devices of the DVIP family feature at least three FPGAs and some 15 million spare gates for users to program with their own algorithms. For more information, visit www.sundance.com.

Ball Lenses

The IsoSphere line of ball lenses is a mechanically compact optical method for adjusting the output of an optical fiber or laser diode. These precision lenses are designed for use in telecommunications, data communications and expanded beam connector applications. For more information, visit www.depsci.com.

Data Acquisition System

Testing and measuring electronics systems requires sophisticated equipment. The Dimension 4i is a self-contained measurement device designed to stream data to a removable hard drive. It can process frequency domain measurements simultaneously at more than 80 kilohertz real-time bandwidth. For more information, visit www.lds-group.com.

Quartz Frequency Standard

This bench-top instrument generates precise frequency reference signals for laboratory equipment, communications systems and test equipment. The 2960AX can be combined with the GPS1 smart antenna system to provide a turnkey frequency standard for groundstations or calibration laboratories. For more information, visit www.novatech-instr.com.

Video Media Center

Unifying and managing an organization’s collaborative video systems can be challenging. The Video Media Center (VMC) 1000 is an appliance-based unit that allows administrators to centrally manage, leverage and protect video content. The VMC 1000 connects dispersed personnel and enhances information sharing by integrating video content into enterprise communications and conferencing. For more information, visit www.polycom.com.

Spectrum Access Survey
Should VHF TV spectrum auction participants be limited to companies that will provide total wireless access to customers regardless of their hardware or software choice?
Yes. It will accelerate the broad-based public adoption of these new wireless capabilities.
No. It will take away much of the incentive for a company to develop the spectrum.
No opinion.
