New Products

Portable Disintegrator

Designed for field deployment, this device is capable of destroying up to 500 pounds of documentation and portable electronics per hour. The Model 3 Deployment Kit can dispose of paper, hard drives, key tape, cellular telephones, personal digital assistants, credit cards, bound documents, casino chips and video cassettes. It uses seven steel knives—five mounted on a rotor and two mounted on a stationary bed—to cut items  continuously until they are small enough to pass through a sizing screen. The entire unit is bolted to a solid steel base frame with fork pockets that allow it to be moved by a forklift. For more information, visit www.semshred.com.

Secure Database System

This software package allows data with varying security levels to be represented in a single database. Trusted RUBIX Version 5.0 is a mandatory access control multilevel secure database management system integrated with Trusted Solaris 8. The program conforms to a number of common security criteria and permits network administrators to label data through script files and application programs working on the database. Trusted RUBIX is certified by the National Security Agency. For more information, visit www.rubix.com.

Compact Flash Serial Cards
This line of CompactFlash serial input/output cards allows users to add RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 communications to personal digital assistants and other wireless devices not normally equipped with serial ports. Designed for low power consumption, each device features driver software for popular operating systems such as Windows 2000 and XP. The cards are automatically recognized by hardware running Windows CE and Pocket PC and are compatible with 3.3-volt and 5-volt devices. For more information, visit www.sealevel.com.

Fuselage Mounted Satellite Antenna

A low-profile aircraft antenna allows aircrews to access international maritime communications satellites. The HGA-9000 high gain antenna features phased-array technology in an integrated beam steering unit. The 2-LRU configuration antenna is 1.6 inches high, 12 inches wide, 28 inches long and weighs 18 pounds. For more information, visit www.tecom-ind.com.

Permeability Testers

These tools are designed to measure water vapor and oxygen for research and quality control. The OPT-5000 oxygen permeability tester features an automated temperature control and single- or dual-side relative humidity control to accommodate a range of laboratory and production applications. For measuring water vapor, the LYSSY L 80-5000 is a humidity sensor with a linear, dynamic range that measures samples directly within a test chamber. For more information, visit www.pbi-dansensor.com.

Infrared Detector
This third-generation uncooled microbolometer device operates at room temperature. The UL 02 05 1 features a 160 x 120 pixel focal plane array with a pitch of 35 microns and a spectral response of 8 to 14 microns. Designed for both military and civil applications, the detector does not require the cryogenic cooling system or other support mechanisms necessary for traditional infrared detectors. For more information, visit www.ulis-ir.com.

Broadcast Voicemail
A voicemail technology allows users to record a message and send it to specific households, businesses or offices. The RealCall system then delivers the message to the person picking up the telephone. If the recipient is not available, the application’s proprietary technology will interact with an answering machine to deliver a message at the precise time the device begins to record. For more information, visit www.thebroadcastteam.com.
