Broadband Encryption Device
This family of broadband encryption devices is designed to protect commercial and government backbone networks from eavesdropping and manipulation. The SITLine devices can secure different network layers with a variety of technologies such as asynchronous transfer mode, fiber channel, Ethernet and Internet protocol. Each type of unit has a high processing speed and can operate with all types of data transmission systems. For more information, visit www.rohde-schwarz.com.

Air Sampling Smoke Detector

Designed to protect small, critical areas such as computer rooms and electrical spaces, this early warning smoke detector constantly samples the air with an ultrasonic flow sensor. The VESDA LaserFocus detector features a dual stage filter and a clean air bleed in its detection chamber to prevent contamination by dust and other airborne particles. A clear circular display provides the level of a detected fire threat. For more information, visit www.vesda.com.

Network Wiretap Tool
A software tool promises to help analyze and monitor voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) traffic. NetWitness 5.0 is designed to help law enforcement, government and other organizations to investigate and pursue Internet crimes. The software forensically collects and analyzes data so that any event occurring on a network, such as e-mail, instant messaging and audio communications, can be reviewed. The software also features an integrated GeoLookup service that allows investigators to geographically locate suspicious Internet-based activity. For more information, visit www.mantech.com.

Liquid Crystal Display Pressure Sensor
This electronic sensor system is designed to precisely map and measure force distribution on liquid crystal displays (LCD) and flat-panel displays. Tactilus is a research and development and quality control tool that determines the precise pressure between an LCD panel and a circuit board assembly at the point of bonding. The system features a thin, flexible sensor “skin” packed with thousands of sensing points to measure pressure in real time. For more information, visit www.sensorprod.com/tactilus.

Business Process Tool
Designed to help government and commercial managers respond to real-time business changes, this software tool can monitor events, identify and prioritize activities needing improvement, and quickly alter work processes. BizFlow 9 features analysis tools to reduce the risks associated with operational changes by defining optimal business scenarios and improvement steps. The software includes a process simulator to model workflow changes, a report generator and real-time support tools. For more information, visit www.handysoft.com.

Battlefield Compliant Computer
A ruggedized single-board computer (SBC) is available that is compliant with the U.S. Army’s Force XXI Battle Command, Brigade-and-Below (FBCB2) electronic command and control system. The VCP P3A SBC is designed to comply with the FBCB2 common card specification. The SBC uses the latest Socket 370 Intel Pentium high-speed process, a 133-megahertz system bus and a PC266 memory bus. These capabilities allow the VCP P3A to operate in other rugged and demanding applications such as Wintel-based client/server file systems, man-machine interfaces, embedded simulation and training equipment, and command, control, communications, computer, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems.
