Multiband Manpack Receiver
A manportable receive-only terminal, available for accessing reconnaissance video and sensor data from multiple airborne platforms, supports all common unmanned aerial vehicle intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance waveforms. The Multiband Manpack Receiver features Ku-band common datalink, C/L-band analog and C-band frequency shift keying. The device can interface with most aerial surveillance platforms, and an optional wireless access point can deliver images and data to an entire squad. For more information, visit www.l-3com.com.

Rugged Wireless Computer
The MX3X ruggedized wireless computer is designed for a variety of vehicle-mounted or handheld applications. The MX3X can fit in a vehicle-mounted cradle system or be hand-carried for use in pallet scanning or logistics operations. Featuring the Windows Mobile 2003 operating system, the computer is equipped with an area imager, a fill alphanumeric keypad and an oversized half-screen color display with touchscreen. For more information, visit www.lxe.com.

Wireless Network Quality Testing System
Designed for testing the quality and service of a wireless network, the QualiPoc software application collects usage data by running on select handsets in the system. The QualiPoc system has several features that permit network carriers to remotely monitor and control the quality of all the mobile telephones in the area. The software permits the testing of voice, data and multimedia performance. Measurement data is uploaded automatically to a server via a wireless connection. The Qualipoc software can operate in fully automated or semi-automated modes. For more information, visit www.comarco.com.

Data Display Software
The Everest Visual Display Software (VDiS) tool permits data such as telemetry information to be displayed in real time. VDiS turns a desktop computer into a virtual strip chart recorder. Information is presented in a “moving pen tip” format driven by signal data. Alarms can be set to allow waveforms to change color when predefined limits are exceeded. Each channel can be displayed separately, or multiple channels can be shown on a single grid for easy comparison. For more information, visit www.astro-med.com.

Secure Notebook Computer
Optimized for security-conscious government customers, this notebook computer features an integrated smart card reader, a tool-less removable hard drive and a biometric fingerprint scanner for access control. The TransPort X3000 has a “three spindle” design that integrates a hard drive, floppy drive and optical drive in the chassis. This configuration permits users to access all three drives simultaneously without switching modules. The computer also features gigabit Ethernet connectivity and is available with 64 megabits or 128 megabit dedicated graphics memory. For more information, visit www.mpccorp.com.

Ethernet to Serial Signal Converters
These converters are designed to use base T Ethernet signals to control and communicate with standard serial devices. The Ethernet to signal (ETS) series of converters features one Ethernet port and one to eight serial ports. Various models support different protocols at data rates from 230 kilobits per second to 460 kilobits per second. All the models are compatible with Windows 98/2000/XP and are packaged with monitoring light-emitting diodes to indicate Ethernet activity, power status and serial port activity. For more information, visit www.cyberresearch.com.

Information Security Resource Guidebooks
The inaugural edition of a new series of guidebooks for U.S. government information security personnel and contractors is now available. The International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC)2 guides provide professional development information about educational programs offered by 50 academic institutions throughout the United States.
