Share Your Expertise, Grow as a CI Professional: Deadline 1 September

Michael Reed

The SCIP04 Annual conference program committee is currently developing an outstanding learning program for the March 22-25 Boston program,CI is the Future: Intelligence Drives Success. We are now accepting proposals for presentations and workshops. The committee is particularly interested in receiving submissions from corporate practitioners and those interested in sharing unique and cutting edge thoughts and ideas with peers from around the globe.

“One of the primary benefits of SCIP membership is the opportunity to add to the thought leadership of the discipline,” suggests Board Member Kathrine Hayes,. Kathrine is this year’s program committee chair and coordinator for the 2004 Annual Conference.

The program committee is looking for practical examples from lessons learned in the trenches in topical areas such as:
Leadership and Management
Global CI
Networks and Collaboration
Government
New Techniques, Tools, and Methods that improve CI skills.

There is tremendous professional value to speaking at SCIP 04. It helps to create and grow new ideas for the profession, as well as providing a platform for recognizing those individuals and organizations who are on the cutting edge of intelligence activities. Also note that individual presenters receive a complimentary registration to the meeting, which can really help when corporate training and development dollars are tight.

Details on each of the tracks and an online submission form are available at www.scip.org/boston/callforpapers.asp. Applications will be accepted until September 1. A committee of experienced CI practitioners will evaluate them and respond to submissions by the end of September. As usual, the best proposals will be included in this year’s program. They may include yours.
