Each year, SCIP hosts the largest gathering of advocates for the use of intelligence in business decision-making. The 2003 conference will be held March 11-14 in Anaheim, California, USA. The overall theme of the conference is Taking CI Mainstream.

You’re invited to get involved, make a positive contribution to the discipline, and help develop your full potential as a CI/BI professional. We’re looking to assemble a top-notch faculty for the educational component of the annual conference. By sharing your ideas and experience, you make a valuable contribution to the growing body of knowledge associated with CI. The program committee is seeking proposals that reflect:
  • Innovative techniques for collecting, analyzing, and disseminating competitive and business intelligence.
  • Case studies and "real-life" examples of CI best practices and key learning experiences.
  • Emerging trends in the CI/BI discipline.
  • Strategies for demonstrating the value and return on investment (ROI) of the CI/BI function.
  • Effective tactics for managing your career and leading others.
  • Global CI/BI issues that address the interests of multinational organizations and the international community
The Call for Presentations focuses on developing content for two program needs: pre and post conference workshops, and the educational program for the annual conference. The 2003 conference has three tracks:
  • Competencies for CI success.
  • Analysis, analysis, analysis.
  • Leadership and management development.

Each track meets the changing needs of business professionals who are interested in applying CI principles to increase their own effectiveness and the competitive advantage of their organizations. The program committee will select creative and engaging presentations that will best enhance the professional development of the participants.

The SCIP proposal web page http://www.scip.org/education/proposal.asp includes extensive information on the conference’s:
