Taking the next step: CI at the forefront, SCIP’s European Conference.

The web page for the SCIP European conference is now up. This three day conference includes a unique combination of workshops, presentations, and a moderated open exchange among your CI peers. Join presenters from Israel, Switzerland, Canada, Liechtenstein, France, Germany, UK, and South Africa for this unique blend of international CI communication.

The SCIP European Conference committee has created a concept that offers the best of what has been a rich educational tradition -- great workshops, first-rate speakers -- and added two exciting new elements. First, on Thursday evening the European platform session is structured to allow you and your colleagues in the competitive intelligence world an opportunity to exchange ideas on the future of the profession and how you see SCIP's role in that profession. Then, the entire session on Friday is devoted to an open exchange on a list of important issues. It's your chance to hear from experts, yes, and at the same time to have your specific questions answered in an arena of open exchange. Be ready for a new kind of learning that is at once exciting and practical -- a session by and for CI professionals from all industries and in all kinds of jobs. http://www.scip.org/brussels

2003 award nominations

All SCIP members have the privilege of nominating individuals for the Meritorious, Fellows, and Catalyst awards. Now is the time to start thinking of a deserving fellow SCIP member who should be nominated for one of these awards. Descriptions are posted at http://www.scip.org/about/awcrit.asp .

SCIP home page in German.

The SCIP home page now sports three flags on the upper right corner. They link to a German language SCIP home page.

International Spy Museum opens to the public.

Check out the cool website of the International Spy Museum in Washington, DC www.spymuseum.org. It’s worth sitting through the introduction. The museum opened its doors to the public on 19 July 2002 and has triggered considerable publicity.
