Customized RSS Job Feed
What is an RSS Feed? How does it work? Why is it beneficial to have this feature on Sapphire.com?
RSS is a format for syndicating news and the content of news-like sites. In the case of Sapphire.com, it is a way to alert subscribers of new job postings without being on Sapphire.com!
When you visit Sapphire.com's Job Seeker page, you will see an RSS link to the Customization page. Once there, just specify what state, job category, and industry on which you would like to receive updates. Once this custom feed is created, input the provided link into an RSS reader (i.e. iGoogle, Yahoo, MSN, etc.). Each posting displayed in the feed will bring you directly to the job posting page on Sapphire.com.
Facebook Share
As you all know, Sapphire is now present on various social networking sites. Facebook, one of the most popular of all social networking sites, currently offers a feature called “Facebook Share.”
Sapphire.com job seekers now have the ability to share jobs with friends via Facebook Share! At the bottom of each job posting, you will see a Facebook Share icon. This icon allows users to send a Facebook message to their friends with a link to the job posting on Sapphire.com. This also gives job seekers the ability to post the link to the job posting on their Facbook profiles.
Please note that only registered Facebook users have the ability to use this great feature. So be sure to join Facebook and become a fan of Sapphire!
Live News Feeds
Stay up to date with Live News Feeds! Scattered throughout the site, you’ll see links to two types of news feed pages: IT Recruitment News and General North America News. Each news feed is posted in real time, so when the news breaks, it is available on Sapphire.com!
Each of these news article links brings you to the full article listed on Randstad’s site, where they can then be shared with friends and coworkers. Links to the news feed pages can be found on the Career Center of both “Job Seeker” and “Current Consultant” sections, as well as in the Research Center located in the "Media and Press Room" section.
