Cadillac’s newest CTS doesn’t simply look different, it also sounds different. The throaty growl of the vehicle’s brash American engine sounds in stark contrast to the silent cruise ship motors of its competitors. Instead, the CTS makes its performance-oriented intentions known immediately upon ignition.
The CTS sedan features the impressive power of your choice of two improved engines beneath its uniquely creased hood. First, a 3.0-liter direct-injection V6 generates 270 hp through a six-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission with Driver Shift Control. An upgraded 3.6-liter direct-injected V6 with variable valve timing (VVT) is also available and achieves a remarkable 304 hp and 273 lb/ft of torque. Both engines shift smoothly and feature exceptional power and acceleration without compromising fuel economy, and both outperform comparable offerings from Audi and Mercedes-Benz.
While the standard sedan is rear-wheel drive, Cadillac’s advanced all-wheel drive system is also available and provides sure-footed traction on difficult terrain by actively transferring engine power between the front and rear wheels as needed. With the combination of Cadillac’s StabiliTrak electronic stability control system and intelligent all-speed traction control, the CTS drastically limits wheel slip and ensures exceptional grip and traction on any surface, 
particularly during hard cornering.
There is luxury to be found accompanying the power; the CTS ride control is enhanced by the incorporation of a four-wheel independent suspension system and premium power rack-and-pinion steering. The ride is remarkably smooth, but doesn’t sacrifice the thrilling driving dynamic CTS owners crave. A sport-tuned suspension design is also available and results in even smoother, more responsive handling that all-out attacks tight turns and long straights with equal enthusiasm. Outside, the newest CTS is the quintessential American power sedan. An athletic, muscular design is stretched over sharp, angular framework and a wide, stable platform. Carved to a point like the tip of an arrow, the sedan’s nose carries a bold chrome grille and oversized Cadillac crest. On each corner, available adaptive HID headlamps articulate left and right to better illuminate the road around curves.
The sedan’s beautifully stretched lines swell over wheel wells and dive toward the pavement. A large, Ultra View sunroof highlights its sweeping roofline while chrome accents dot the sleek paneling. In the back, a subtle decklid spoiler is flanked by iconic vertical taillamps and a dual chrome exhaust. The beautiful frame rests on an aggressive set of available 19-inch polished aluminum alloys with slick low-profile tires.

The elegant wood trim is complemented by beautifully stitched leather seats, and the bucket seats themselves are bolstered to keep you firmly in place during every turn.
CTS technology is as advanced as its design. Cadillac has implanted an innovative and dynamic available popup navigation system and media unit. Complete with a 40GB hard drive (for the digital storage of thousands of songs), the unit pops from the dash when you command it and allows you to pause, rewind and play live radio. The voice-activated GPS component features real-time traffic updates while the premium Bose audio system incorporates Bluetooth, MP3 and XM Satellite Radio capability.
