An Eye on Salt
- When it is necessary to add salt to a recipe you are cooking there is a correct way to do so when you’re using your Saladmaster cooking system. When adding salt to water or other liquids bring the liquid to a boil first and then add salt because salt can pit and damage the surfaces of your cookware.
- Cooking low-sodium pasta recipes in your EOC, there are many recipes that do not require that you precook the noodles! This is one of the “magic” results of the unique design. The probe also holds a little “magic” for you – compared with an analog controller that is only accurate within 20° to 40°, the Saladmaster digital controller is accurate within 3° to 5°!
- And another tip: cooking is an art where a creative hand is part of the fun. But baking is a science that involves chemical reactions between very specific ingredients. So when baking, use the salt required in the recipe.
