Children’s Nutrition Summit: Charting a Path Toward a Healthy Future
Attendees participated in asset mapping to identify nutrition and physical activity trends for 0-18 children. On March 15, First 5 Sacramento, along with co-conveners held a Children’s Nutrition Summit to map nutrition and physical activities resources for all children in Sacramento County.

The Preschool Bridging Model Begins At Ten Locations
Beginning in January 2007 the Preschool Bridging Model (PBM) was implemented in three family childcare homes, two faith based centers, one Montessori center and four child development centers located in the city of Elk Grove.

“Baby Friendly” Model Hospital Policies Class Two took place on February 15 and March 1. Mercy San Juan, Mercy General, Sutter Memorial and Kaiser South filed their Letter of Intent to move toward “Baby Friendly” Model Hospital Policies.
