Pulling Trees Through Mud
Randy McKenzie Shares His Extreme Trucking Story

Awhile back, we asked readers to share their Extreme Trucking stories with us at www.rotella.com. Well, check out this winning story from Randy McKenzie, whose extreme experience has lasted for the last 17 years getting logs from the woods to the mill.

Name: Randy McKenzie
Title: Owner/President
Company: Wood Products, Inc.
Primary Business: Logging
Equipment: John Deere, Peterbilt, Mack, Tigercat, Timberjack, etc.

My extreme experience has lasted for the last 17 years moving logs from the woods to the mill. All of my equipment run on diesel and Shell Rotella 15W-40 oil. Hauling Logs

We harvest planted pines and haul them to the mills for processing into plywood, lumber, pulp and paper.

Getting the trees out of the woods can be an awesome task sometimes and it takes machines that can withstand the pressure.

My 5 ton 6x6 trucks play an important part of the trucking role of hauling timber. We use these trucks to get the loads out to good ground.

The six-wheel drive ability allows them to get through the mud and water and takes the abuse off of my road trucks.

Hauling timber is a tough business that gets in your blood but makes you wonder sometimes if you can survive all the elements against you.

Rain, drought, fires, and road hazards are some of the things that we face but one thing that we can count on is an oil that won't fail us, Shell Rotella.
