At the RightStar Odyssey cruise ITIL event, held on November 14, keynote speaker, Michael Nieves, co-author of the ITIL V3.0 Core book on Service Strategy, pointed out that the ability to work in service is critical. This was made very apparent when no one raised their hand when asked if they worked on a farm or in manufacturing. Michael further pointed out that “no organization cost cuts their way to greatness.” This has obvious implications for service as a key strategy for our customers’ IT organizations.
