Carnival Cruise Lines; “30 Years of Fun”
Todays’ Carnival is something special!

Carnival Cruise Lines’ celebrates its 30 year anniversary this month.  As many cruise regulars know, Carnival Cruise Lines’ started out as a one ship cruise line – with a great idea.  A vacation where you can have loads of fun, be with friends and family, all at an affordable rate.

The first ship was named the Mardi Gras and that first sailing in 1972 was filled with excitement and great expectations – until it ran aground on a sandbar outside the Port of Miami!  The bars opened, the music played and “Fun Ship Cruising” was born, as well as the now famous drink “Mardi Gras on the Rocks!”

From those humble beginnings, Carnival Corporation has grown to become not only “The Most Popular Cruise Line in the World”, but also the parent company to Holland America Line, Windstar Cruises, Seabourn Cruise Line, Cunard Line and Costa Cruises.

Carnival Cruise Line is NOT the cruise line of the 70’s, 80’s or even 90’s.  Today’s Carnival is all about choices.  Carnival Cruise Line now operates 16 ships, with more on the way!  Read about the exciting itineraries and enhancements on the three newest ships here.  Carnival has also expanded beyond the homeport of Miami with sailings from 18 different ports of call in 2002 – for more information click here!

I have been fortunate enough to sail on every Carnival ship since the introduction of the first “Fantasy-class” superliners in 1990.  I have seen the changes in Carnival over the years and can tell you they just get better and better.  One of the greatest improvements our clients keep coming back to tell us about is the food!  Carnival now ranks at the top of the list of ALL cruiselines, when it comes to food quality and satisfaction.  Click here for some “Fun Facts” about the food served in a typical week on Carnivals fleet.

I have written some other articles in this newsletter about Carnivals’ newest cruises to Europe, Alaska, Baja and Hawaii.  Please read them or go to our website, www.thecruiseplace.com, access specials and search for great values on ALL Carnival Cruises!

Thanks again for your business, all of us at The Cruise Place are here to do everything we can to assure you of a trouble free cruise vacation!
