Welcome to our final edition of The NEWsletter for 2001.

I can’t believe that 2001 is already coming to a close.  It seems only yesterday we were all talking about the “end of the Millennium”, a new century, a New Years to remember and Y2K, and already we are heading into 2002.

We have seen many changes in our business in 2001; we have moved our offices, seen our staff’s families grow, watched as employees moved on to other challenges and have had new friends join our company. We have seen vendors come and go and watched as the travel industry continues to change in front of us.  One thing that has not changed is our commitment to our employees, our customers and stakeholders.

One of the most memorable parts of 2001 has been some great travel!  Marla is currently in a 14-day trip through the magnificent Panama Canal with Crystal Cruises.  Peter has recently returned from a two-week plus trip to the Big Island of Hawaii and a stay on the Kona Coast.  I was able to travel this summer to Amsterdam, Germany and London to see Norwegian Cruise Lines’ newest and greatest ships.  The Norwegian Star has now been delivered and is now sailing the Hawaiian Islands.

As many of you know, I travel regularly to San Francisco and Tucson, Arizona.  I was recently in San Francisco and it is one of my favorite “quick getaway” cities.  Christmas time in the city is one of my favorites with all the lights, sights and wonderful restaurants and shopping opportunities.  There are many incredible boutique hotels with great values and any of our staff can help you arrange your perfect weekend escape.  With Valentines Day just around the corner, San Francisco makes for a great romantic weekend!  Tucson is another of my favorite places, with warm dry weather, beautiful mountains and pristine desert scenery.  Tucson is also home to some of the Southwest’s most highly rated Spa’s and resort experiences.  Read about Canyon Ranch in this edition of our eNewsletter.

Tucson is also home to one of my good friends and newest member of our staff, Rebekah Watts.  Many of you have received Rebekah’s letter asking for your e-mail addresses and offering you a chance to enter our drawing for a free trip.  Please click here to read Rebekah’s holiday greeting and meet her family.  Please feel free to forward this eNewsletter to any friends and ask them to subscribe to be entered in the drawing and receive future Newsletters.

I hope you enjoy this edition and that you all have a safe and happy holiday with friends and family.  If you have any special requests for future editions or stories that would be interesting to share, please feel free to e-mail Rebekah at; Rebekah@TheCruisePlace.com
