Unprecedented Travel Opportunities

Cruise lines, Resorts and Airlines work to get America Traveling again.

I hope this issue of our eNewsletter finds everyone happy, healthy and looking forward to the Holidays.  As I write this letter I am in Tucson Arizona, enjoying the beautiful fall weather, visiting family and reflecting on my last 15 years in the Travel Business.

First of all I look back and realize how lucky I have been to travel all over the world, visiting incredible natural sites, beautiful resorts, tantalizing restaurants and most importantly to me has been the people and varying cultures.  Upon further reflection I have realized this is not luck, it is an important part of being American.  The Freedom to Travel is one of the greatest gifts of being born in America.

The simple fact that we can wake up in the morning, jump on a plane, rent a car and visit the Sydney Opera House in Australia, Canyon Ranch Resort in Arizona or The Vatican in Italy is a right that is uniquely American.

It is well known that every aspect of the travel industry has been impacted by the events of September 11.  Cutbacks and layoffs have been seen around the country in the airline, hotel, restaurant and agency industries. Has this impacted us? Yes.  Will it deter us?  Absolutely not.  We are fiercely protective of our clients and their right to travel with peace of mind.  And we are determined to be part of the solution, not the problem.

“…America was founded, expanded and made great by travelers. And nobody can take that away from us.  Not now.  Not ever.”  This quote from an October 3rd New York Times ad by The Travel Industry Association sums up our determination to protect our rights as Americans.  It goes on to refer to travel as a “cherished right” and states that “America’s travel industry has pledged its support to the U.S. Congress and other federal agencies to ensure that travel is safe and secure.”

I also sit here reflecting on the incredible travel values and opportunities for those of us who love to travel.  In this newsletter we are focusing on extraordinary travel experiences and opportunities.  My staff and I have been scouring the world for these once-in-a-lifetime values.

Find out about Princess Cruise Lines outstanding prices for Balconies on their summer 2002 Alaska Cruises.  We are seeing cabins with balconies for the same rates we saw inside cabins for in years past.  If you have never sailed with a balcony, this is an opportunity not to be missed, especially on a cruise to Alaska with its unmatched natural beauty.  Click here to read the full article.

We have discovered two unique train trips in Western Canada and the Rockies.  Both are first class programs that are fully escorted with experienced guides.  Click here to read more.  One of these trips is in a private car owned by the Canadian Pacific Railway and used for the Royal Family.  There are only accommodations on this trip for 28 privileged guests, at rates starting at only $2700.00 p/p

There are many other exciting travel programs throughout this newsletter.  So sit back, relax, enjoy and exercise your Freedom to Travel!

Wishing you great travels,
