Carnival Cruise Lines
Update on the World's Largest Cruiseline

Amtrak, Carnival, and Carnival's Holland America Line have formed an all-surface "Rail & Cruise" promotion package extending to cruises throughout 2003. Amtrak trains from 530 cities in the U. S. and Canada will carry passengers to and from the lines' 18 North American home ports at discounted package rates... The smoke-free 2052-passenger Carnival Paradise will be the scene of six smoking cessation cruises in 2003. The seven-day Caribbean trips will be conducted in association with the American Lung association of Connecticut and Manchester Community College. Clinics and workshops will be devoted to helping participants stop the smoking habit. The cruises will be offered monthly between January and June... A first for Carnival: it will stop at Belize for a full day on five-day cruises from Miami. The trips, which also stop at Key West, will be scheduled every two weeks on the 2052-passenger Imagination. New excursions will feature cave tubing, rain forest exploration, biking, horseback riding, snorkeling, a riverboat trip, and golf... FORE! A new golf simulator has been installed aboard the 2052-passenger Inspiration. It includes a high-impact 10-foot x 12-foot screen, hitting mat, simulated fairway, and ball flight information. It's adjacent to a new golf shop... The new 2974-passenger, 110,000-ton Carnival Conquest debuts this season. It will operate seven-day Western Caribbean cruises from New Orleans. The biggest ship in Carnival's fleet, it carries a host of features: two two-level dining rooms, a reservations-only supper club, teen game room and promenade, a Polynesian-themed casino, a sports bar, dance club, two piano bars, and more. It's fully described in Carnival's brochures... For the first time, Carnival in 2003 will operate a series of week-long Bermuda cruises round trip from New York. There will also be departures from Philadelphia and Baltimore. Eleven trips are scheduled on the Pride and the Legend, each of which was launched in 2002. Each carries 2124 passengers.
