Want to escape to one of the country’s biggest and best theme parks? Come visit Six Flags Great Adventure located in Jackson, New Jersey, conveniently located under 70 miles from New York City and only 50 miles from Philadelphia.

If you enjoy twists, turns, flips and drops, Six Flags Great Adventure is the place for you. With 11 different areas of the park, there are attractions for people of all ages. If you want to experience the excitement of the park, head to areas such as Plaza del Carnival or the Golden Kingdom. If you’d like to sit back and have some fun with the family, try Wiggles World, which is based on the popular children’s television show.

If roller coasters are your cup of tea, Six Flags Great Adventure should be your park of choice. The park hosts an incredible 14 roller coasters including the brand new Dark Knight Coaster! This coaster is based on the popular movie of the same name. This unbelievable ride will take you through total darkness while you race through the streets of Gotham. Come join the caped crusader on this brand new ride!

Six Flags Great Adventure is also home to a pair of roller coasters that are world renowned for a couple of reasons. Kingda Ka holds the world record for both speed and height. Experience the thrill of a lifetime as you reach a height of 45 stories then descend at an ungodly speed of 128 mph. Another one of Great Adventure’s coasters that will leave you breathless is El Toro, which is a new twist on the classic wooden coaster. On El Toro, you will face the steepest drop of any wooden coaster at a record-breaking 76 degrees.

If the buzz of a roller coaster isn’t your ideal time, there are plenty of other attractions for the whole family. There are rides located throughout the park including the Bugs Bunny Camp Carousel, Daffy Duck’s Hot Air Balloons, Porky Pig’s Camp Wagons and many more.

The month of October is a favorite of guys and ghouls when the park is taken over each night by Fright Fest! During Fright Fest, the entire park is turned into a Halloween funhouse, so the entire family can enjoy a few screams together. During this special season, guests of the park will be treated to their favorite monsters creeping and crawling around every corner of the park.

Also during this time there are many Halloween themed shows that take place throughout the park featuring such favorites as Frankenstein, Dracula, Elvira and more!

If you really want to get into the spirit of Halloween, Fright Fest will allow brave people to step forward. At select rides throughout the park, guests will be allowed to take part in special Halloween challenges that will get them special access to other park attractions. Think you can handle being locked in a coffin of insects or eat a live cockroach? Well, then step right up and challenge yourself during Fright Fest at Six Flags Great Adventure.

Fright Fest takes place throughout the month of October on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. If you are in the mood for a mixture of heart pounding thrill rides and a great Halloween atmosphere, come visit Six Flags Great Adventure!
