Introducing the Re-Zoom-Zoomed 2009 MAZDA6
Bigger, faster, smarter and more fun than ever!

One glance and you’ll know the 2009 MAZDA6 is new and eye-catching. Look closer and you’ll see how the MAZDA6 has been re-thought, re-engineered, re-designed, re-freshed and re-zoom-zoomed.

The 2009 MAZDA6 is bigger in every way, from a longer wheelbase and a wider, more stable stance to a roomier cabin for the enjoyment of five happy zoomers. Slip into the driver’s seat and you’ll instantly sense the additional room—increased leg and hip room in the front cabin and more leg, shoulder and hip room in the rear seat than Accord, Altima and Malibu. Cargo room is best in class, and with the 60/40 rear fold-flat seats, it just about matches the capacity of a hatchback.

For 2009, the MAZDA6 offers a choice of two powerful and efficient engines. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with variable valve timing produces 170 hp and 167 lb/ft of torque, more than Camry or Malibu. Choose the 2.5-liter engine for fuel economy since it achieves up to 21 mpg in city driving and 30 mpg on the highway. The 3.7-liter V6 with variable valve timing produces 272 hp and 269 lb/ft of torque—more horsepower and torque than any vehicle in the MAZDA6 midsize sedan class. The V6 teams up with a six-speed sport automatic transmission with manual-shift mode. The four-cylinder motor offers the option of a six-speed manual transmission or a five-speed sport automatic tranny with manual-shift mode.

Equipped with the 2.5-liter engine, the all-new 2009 MAZDA6 is a SmartWay certified car according to the U.S. EPA, identifying the MAZDA6 as among the cleanest and most fuel-efficient vehicles available. The criteria for SmartWay certified cars are based on the vehicle emission scores that can be found on the U.S. EPA's Green Vehicle Guide (www.epa.gov/greenvehicles). The vehicle emission scores include the Greenhouse Gas Score and the Air Pollution Score.

Today’s cars are smart, but today’s MAZDA6 is simply brilliant with technologies for convenience and safety, and amenities for comfort and delight. For example, the MAZDA6 is the only vehicle in its class to offer a Blind Spot Monitoring System, a feature that makes you aware of vehicles close enough to be a concern, but out of view. MAZDA6 also offers an Advanced Keyless Entry & Start System that allows you to unlock your vehicle without pulling out your keys. Once inside, the available push-button start lets you turn the car on without fumbling for keys. With Bluetooth wireless cabin technology, the MAZDA6 enables hands-free operation of compatible cell phone and MP3 players. Plus, a voice-activated DVD navigation system featuring a seven-inch LCD touchscreen is available. What’s more, you can equip your MAZDA6 with a 333-watt Bose Premium Centerpoint Surround Sound System with 10 speakers including an amplified subwoofer.

The 2009 MAZDA6 is offered in the base SV edition with a starting MSRP of $19,220. There are three upgrade trims - Sport, Touring and Grand Touring - for each of the offered engines. The Grand Touring with V6 starts at an MSRP of $28,930.

At its debut, the 2009 MAZDA6 quickly won over the automotive press. Car and Driver loved the styling. "With its flaring front fenders, fast windshield and coupe-like slope of the rear glass, the shape is stylish and fast." Edmunds.com observed, "Exaggerated wheel arches give the MAZDA6 an aggressive stance that you'll never see on the Honda Accord or Toyota Camry." Popular Mechanics made note of the MAZDA6’s cabin quality. "The interior is artful and tidily crafted—basically what we’ve come to expect from this inventive car company."

So what do the test drivers say about the new MAZDA6? In its “First Drive Review,” Car and Driver said, "Steering is light and alive, yet it grooves in on straight-ahead when the path calls for it. Slack has been zeroed out of brake-pedal motion. Ride is well controlled without being harsh, and noises, both road and wind, are dialed way back. Bottom line: The MAZDA6 was never like this. Think MAZDA7." Automobile magazine especially liked the handling of the MAZDA6 stating, "Without question, the four-cylinder MAZDA6 is the handling champ in the segment." The MAZDA6 prompted Motor Trend to state that, "Smoothness and quietness - as well as basic vehicle dynamics - have been elevated to an entirely different plane."

That’s strong praise for the MAZDA6 indeed! Popular Mechanics summed up the heart of zoom-zoom appeal stating, "The MAZDA6 is a hoot to drive, unlike its less sporty foes in the marketplace."

Now it’s your turn to inspect, drive and form an opinion of the 2009 MAZDA6. We invite you to make an appointment for a zoom-zoom test drive today.
