H.J. Heinz Complex

The HJ Heinz manufacturing buildings were to be rehabilitated into downtown luxury apartments.  Exterior renovations of the richly articulated brick and stone façades on the multi-storied, connected structure had to be documented.

Quantapoint’s 3 person team
scanned the elevated, detailed structure in only 3 days, including documenting the intricately patterned brick work of the very high walkways connecting the buildings without interrupting the flow of traffic on congested city streets.  The results were minimized costs, optimized schedules, increased quality, and improved safety - accurately preserving a rich piece of Pittsburgh architecture.
