Visualizing a Concept

In the spirit of the recent holiday, Quantapoint would like to highlight a project involving a religious structure. The Zion Lutheran Church was experiencing challenges due to changing congregation needs and an aging structure. Unfortunately, the congregation was divided in how significant a change to make. Quantapoint to the rescue! We scanned the entire church in less than 1/2 day and created a 3D CAD model from the laser data. Photography and paint chips were then used for textures and recreated in the model for effect. The resulting digitized building enabled the congregation to "visualize" the design concept. After viewing a video of the "new" church, the congregation approved the multi-million dollar renovation.

As-Built Laser Documentation for the Architectural Industries

Various 2D Drawings Created by Quantapoint from As-Built Laser DocumentationArchitectural personnel face a number of existing condition (or “as-built”) documentation challenges during additions and alterations of existing structures.  These include lack of documentation or obsolete documentation, slow and potentially error-prone manual collection of documentation, and difficulty sharing and managing documentation.  The cost of this missing, inaccurate or misunderstood as-built documentation is time and money in the form of field rework, missed schedules and construction delays.

Quantapoint
uses integrated laser scanning to provide the fastest, easiest and most cost-effective solution for creating detailed and highly accurate existing condition (or “as-built”) documentation for the architectural industries.

With more than
350 architectural projects, Quantapoint provides a consistent and complete “digitized structure” of easily shareable as-built laser documentation that can include dimensionally accurate and photo-realistic 2D laser scans, interactive 3D laser models and verified 2D drawings, such as elevations, sections and more.

With more accurate and complete information for design, fabrication and construction decisions, rework can be reduced by more than 80% while minimizing on-site presence and preserving architectural details.
