Qualmark Achieves Target Revenue in 2009

Qualmark met sales, product, and service goals for 2009 in spite of the sluggish global economy.  “Our performance was right on target in 2009,” Andy Drenick, President and CEO of Qualmark, noted.  “We advanced HALT/HASS technology with the introduction of our xLF2 vibration table that enables PSD management – an industry first.  We launched a new Web site which helps newcomers understand the value of an accelerated stress program, provides assistance with locating HALT/HASS labs around the globe, and links related resources that will help our customers realize rapid ROI.  We completely overhauled our approach to Service with the addition of a new Director of Service, established new service and support programs, and streamlined response and communication.  Our accomplishments in 2009 provide a solid platform for continued product and sales growth in 2010.”

HALT/HASS Utility Consumption Standard

As the largest provider of HALT and HASS systems in the world, Qualmark's commitment to the technology is unparalleled.  Our investment in research and development includes investigating all areas where Qualmark can provide the lowest in total cost of ownership - the approach recommended by the Institute for Supply Management for capital equipment purchases. Companies considering adding an accelerated stress test program, therefore, should factor in ongoing equipment service and maintenance expense as a part of program budget.

Beta Testing Now Under Way

Qualmark is developing a standard methodology for technical evaluation of table PSD (Power Spectral Density).  The methodology will serve customers in understanding the energy distribution of different RS (rapid shock) vibration tables.

While performing product reliability testing, either during prototyping with HALT, or during production with HASS, the goal is to apply vibration energy that excites natural frequencies of the product. Exciting natural frequencies of the product causes components to vibrate, and in turn will accelerate mechanical fatigue failures.
