Business Opportunity Fair Set
Aurora Water and prequalified contractors for upcoming construction on Prairie Waters Project bid packages will host a small and local subcontractor business opportunity fair. The purpose of the fair is to provide interested small and local businesses with information about the project and to provide subcontractors with an opportunity to meet with the prequalified firms for upcoming construction. Interested small and local businesses will have the opportunity to present information regarding their capabilities and potential contribution to the project.
When: Beginning at 8 a.m., March 19, 2008.
Where: DoubleTree Hotel Denver Southeast, 13696 E. Iliff Place, Aurora.
Why: The Prairie Waters Project is a sustainable water supply project designed to ensure Aurora’s water customers receive a high-quality, reliable water supply. The project includes a natural purification area located outside of Brighton, more than 34 miles of pipeline, three pumping stations and a purification facility that is currently under construction near the Aurora Reservoir.
Due to the importance of this project to the local community, Aurora is encouraging the maximum participation of small and local businesses, inclusive of minority, veteran, and women-owned business enterprises through subcontracting opportunities with the pre-qualified firms.
