Excessive Formaldehyde Levels Found in Hospital Food Courts

Almost half of hospital shops and food courts recently tested by the Consumers’ Foundation, Chinese Taipei were found to have airborne formaldehyde levels in excess of the suggested safety limits set by the Environmental Protection Administration.
 
The Consumers’ Foundation conducted air quality tests at 11 major hospitals in May of this year to measure concentrations of airborne particulate matter, carbon dioxide, formaldehyde and bacteria.

NH Couple May Sue Former Homeowner Over Mold and Other Problems

WAKEFIELD, N.H. (NEWS CENTER) -- A New Hampshire couple may take the former owners of their home to court after they discovered mold, water leaks and a faulty foundation.

Tasha and Chad Bennett moved into their rural home in May. During all the recent rain, water began leaking into the basement. Bennett then found rotting sideboards and support beams under layers of plastic and new insulation. Outside he found layers of mold under his vinyl siding.

ROANOKE, Va. (AP) ― Houseplants are banned at a Roanoke college, whose officials are taking no chances that they might cause a mold problem.

The Jefferson College of Health Sciences said in a recent newsletter that all plants are banned in the Reid Center.
