Toronto, Canada  -- Scientists, researchers, experts and industry professionals from around the world assembled for the annual AIHce Conference in Toronto, Canada on May 30 – June 4, 2009.   At the conference, Pure Air Control Services, Inc's Dr. Rajiv Sahay presented the Environmental Diagnostic Laboratories (EDLab’s) findings on surface-borne fungal contaminants of the indoor environment.  The study reveals four (4) years of research findings, as well as to learn and share knowledge about the sources, dispersal and deposition of surficial particles.

Abstract
Good indoor air quality is essential for sustainable facilities. This is especially true for the hospitality industry (hotels, motels, restaurants, bars, and casinos) in the United States as people spend significant time in these establishments and there is at least a $4 per square foot impact on productivity due to 60% of the facilities being classified as having poor indoor air quality.

 |  GREENSBORO — Guilford County public health officials stood before cameras and microphones again Tuesday to urge caution before leaping to conclusions about troubles at Oak Ridge Elementary School.

The news conference came three days after Linda K. May, a health and safety consultant, told reporters and some concerned parents that mold at the school was dangerous enough to close it permanently.

In every business environment, there are certain health and safety risks that employees expect to have addressed by their employers: Sidewalks must be shoveled and salted after snowstorms, safety goggles and masks must be supplied in the presence of airborne chemicals, and facilities must be kept clean and up to code to minimize accidents. Other factors of workplace health, however, frequently go overlooked.
