Fierce Hurricane Season Predicted -Restoration and Environmental Remediation Tips

Clearwater, FL-This year's hurricane season will likely be more active than normal, the director of the National Hurricane Center warned today, one day after a leading researcher forecast a "very active" season. William Gray, a top hurricane forecaster on Tuesday predicted a ``very active" season this year with at least nine hurricanes, five of them major hurricanes, and a good chance that one major hurricane will hit the U.S. coast. With the hurricane season fast approaching, homeowners and building owners need to prepare in advance for what looks like to be an active hurricane season.

Moldy mess Couple irate at condition of townhouse at Magnolia Oaks

GAUTIER -- After living with a moldy mess underneath the sink for nearly a year, Michael and Dawn Smith decided to take action. The couple began renting a townhouse at Magnolia Oaks in April 2006. Michael Smith said he and his wife were grateful for a place to live considering the housing shortage following Hurricane Katrina.

Salmonella found in roaster, cleaning supplies at ConAgra

Sylvester- FDA investigators finally have some details on the location of that Salmonella outbreak that shut down the Sylvester ConAgra Foods plant five weeks ago. Thursday, ConAgra Foods blamed a $48 million loss this quarter on its recall of Peter Pan and Great Value Peanut Butter and there's still no timetable of when production will start back.
It's been five weeks since the lines at ConAgra Foods looked like this and it could be the end of May before production resumes. The clean up can begin now that the FDA has pin-pointed the cause.

Six more former AT&T employees sue over call center air quality

CHARLESTON - Six former employees of AT&T have joined a group of co-workers who are suing the company, claiming poor air quality in a call center made them sick.Charleston attorney Christopher Luzier filed the separate suits March 22 in Kanawha Circuit Court on behalf of Taneisha Hairston, Jean Ann Lewis, Kristi Maynard, Tina Holley, Lisa Holstein and Patsy Jett.
